Students may dress up for Halloween on Friday but are expected to follow all guidelines or they will be asked to change into uniform pants and shirt.
Be Safe:
- Students must keep their face visible at all times. No masks, hoods, full-face makeup or excessive makeup/gore.
- Weapons or replica weapons may never be brought to school.
- Costumes may not be such that they restrit the movement of a stuen, obscue the view of othes, or cause a danger to themselves or others.
- Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.
- No high heels or open toed shoes.
Be Responsible:
- Costumes may not be revealing or sexually explicit in any way. No bathing suits, short skirts/shorts, revealing sleepwear, etc.
- Costumes must not interview with the instructional program other student's right to learn.
- Costumes must be "appropriate" for students at the middle school level. (if necessary, administration will make the final determination)
Be Respectful:
- Costumes should be fun but may not be demeaning to any ethnic group, race, religion, handicapping condition, gender, or individual students/staff member.
- Students should respect themselves and the rights of others to safely enjoy the Halloween celebration, noontime activity, and related school-sponsored festivities.
- Respect the class environment and remember that while we want to have fun, we are here to learn.
